Mahmoud Najafi Arab, the President of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, along with Saeed Tajik, the Head of the Energy and Environment Commission of this Chamber, met with Ali Salajegheh, the Head of the Environmental Protection Organization.

This meeting, attended by Bahman Eshqi, the Secretary-General of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, and some members of the Energy and Environment Commission, was held to present and review the proposals of the Energy and Environment Commission. During the session, in addition to discussing the topics raised, topics such as the Support Fund for Private Sector Activists in Environmental Projects of the mentioned organization were discussed.

• The Chamber’s participation in drafting amendments to the Clean Air Law.
• Private sector assistance for the better implementation of this law.
• Commission’s proposal to carry out a research project on the sources of air pollution in Tehran with the participation of international organizations.
• The Chamber’s readiness to collaborate with the organization regarding the Emirates Cup Exhibition.
• Declaration of legal obstacles and issues related to the recycling industry.

In addition, it was decided that from now on, representatives of the Environmental Protection Organization will also attend the meetings of the commission, and one of the meetings of the Board of Representatives with the presence of organizations will host the head of the Environmental Protection Organization. This meeting will be an opportunity for the private sector to present their concerns to the head of the organization face-to-face.
