ISQI CEO’s Visit to COP28 Climate Change Conference

Saeed Tajik, the CEO of the Iran Standard & Quality Inspection Co. and the head of the Energy and Environment Commission of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture, along with representatives from this commission and also the Transportation Commission of the Chamber of Commerce, attended the COP28 Climate Change Conference.

According to the Public Relations report from ISQI, the 28th United Nations Climate Change Conference, known as COP28, commenced last Thursday in Dubai Expo and will continue until December 12, 2023. The mentioned team attended with the aim of gaining insights into the latest achievements and technologies of countries in utilizing clean energy and reducing carbon emissions.

This conference has been held annually since the first United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in 1992. Its purpose is to provide a continuous platform for governments to agree on policies to control global temperature rise and adapt to the impacts related to climate change.

the Iran Standard & Quality Inspection Co., as part of the TIC industry in the country, considers it its duty to commit to the goals of this conference and participate in achieving sustainable development indicators. Accordingly, the company has developed and implemented a number of programs, including the following methods to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, as well as planning to establish a carbon management system in the organization and include it in customer evaluation indicators.

  • Setting goals to achieve sustainable development indicators, especially in the areas of reducing carbon emissions and energy consumption in the company and its customers
  • Playing a role in social responsibility for environmental protection and supporting plant species
  • Leading and developing vehicle and propulsion emission testing centers
  • Establishing a catalyst converter testing laboratory
  • Establishing an electric vehicle testing laboratory

ISQI also provides a diverse range of services in the areas of testing, inspection and assessment, market research, and training to its customers in various industries worldwide. In this regard, the company strives to reduce carbon emissions and sustainable development indicators as its roadmap and be committed to environmental protection and the quality of the next generation. To this end, initiatives such as establishing an electric vehicle laboratory are part of its developmental plans, and in the not-too-distant future, we will witness its launch.
