Qualitative Performance Evaluation of Exhibition Organizers

Qualitative Performance Evaluation of Exhibition Organizers

Systematic Assessment of Exhibition Organizers’ Performance Quality

The quality of an exhibition is not limited to organizing and holding the event itself. Rather, a range of factors—from management and planning to service quality, communication with participants, information dissemination, and the creation of business opportunities—plays a role in shaping the overall experience and effectiveness of an exhibition. From this perspective, evaluating the performance of exhibition organizers is an important requirement for monitoring and improving the quality of exhibition events.

In this regard, Iran Standard & Quality Inspection Company (ISQI) undertook responsibility for the qualitative performance evaluation of exhibition organizers. Using a structured, indicator-based, and evidence-based approach, the evaluation examined the quality of organizers’ performance across various dimensions.

Evaluation Framework

As part of this process, the organizer’s performance was evaluated in areas including exhibition management and execution, quality of services provided to participants, information dissemination and media activities, digital services, development of business and B2B interactions, participant satisfaction, innovation, and social responsibility.

The evaluation was not based solely on the organizer’s self-reported information. Document review, examination of performance evidence, and field assessment were also incorporated into the evaluation process. This approach enabled a more accurate assessment of the extent to which requirements were fulfilled and the actual quality of the organizer’s performance.

The Role of ISQI

In this project, ISQI’s expertise in inspection and service evaluation, its professional capabilities, and its network of assessors provided the foundation for implementing the evaluation process, enabling organizers’ performance to be assessed against defined criteria and verifiable evidence.

The outcome of this approach was the provision of a tool for increasing performance transparency, identifying opportunities for improvement, and supporting quality enhancement in the exhibition industry.

Healthcare Facility Accreditation

  1. The Impact of Hospital Accreditation on Dimensions of Healthcare Quality: A Systematic Review

A systematic review of quantitative studies examining the impact of hospital accreditation—comparing accredited and non-accredited hospitals or comparing conditions before and after accreditation—on healthcare quality indicators was conducted. These indicators were categorized into seven dimensions of quality: effectiveness, efficiency, accessibility, patient-centeredness, equity, timeliness, and safety.

Hospital accreditation is recognized as a process in which an independent body evaluates a hospital’s performance against defined standards. Among the key benefits identified in quantitative studies are the integration of internal procedures and policies and increased compliance with effective standards of patient care. This can have a direct positive impact on the quality of safety and clinical outcomes.

Results of the Systematic Review:

  1. Safety

Improved infection control: In 12 of the 18 studies that examined safety (67%), hospital infection rates decreased significantly following accreditation or compared with non-accredited hospitals.

Evidence-based care: Several studies have shown that accreditation increases compliance with medication and technical protocols—for example, precise control of CT imaging parameters and optimal use of antibiotics—thereby reducing the risk of patient harm.

  1. Efficiency

Reduced costs and waste: 13 of 16 studies (81%) reported that following the accreditation process, resource utilization, such as medications, energy, and human resources, became more efficient and operating costs decreased.

Staff satisfaction: Some studies also observed a significant increase in job satisfaction among nurses and technicians, which contributes to the sustainability of quality processes.

  1. Effectiveness

Reduced length of stay: 8 of 15 studies (53%) showed that accreditation resulted in a significant reduction in the length of patients’ hospital stays, without negatively affecting the quality of care.

Lower mortality: Several studies reported lower 30-day mortality rates in accredited hospitals compared with the respective comparison groups.

  1. Patient-Centeredness

Increased satisfaction and protection of rights: 3 of 7 studies (43%) showed that accredited hospitals achieved higher scores on patient satisfaction questionnaires and in compliance with patients’ privacy rights.

  1. Timeliness

Reduced waiting times: Two studies reported that following the accreditation process, the average waiting time for the first medical visit or the first surgical procedure decreased, resulting in faster access to healthcare services for patients.

The present systematic review indicates that the most significant positive effects of accreditation are seen in improving the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of healthcare services.

Applying the positive findings of this review can guide policymakers and hospital managers in selecting and improving accreditation processes, thereby further enhancing the quality of care and patient satisfaction.

  1. Healthcare Facility and Hospital Accreditation

Healthcare facility accreditation is a systematic and structured process that, by applying standards across the dimensions of structure, processes, and clinical outcomes, ensures that healthcare services are delivered at a level consistent with the best global models and in accordance with patients’ needs. As society’s expectations regarding the quality and safety of care continue to increase, accreditation serves as a guiding light, illuminating the path toward continuous improvement.

By implementing clinical standards and guidelines, the accreditation system makes it possible to clearly identify the strengths and shortcomings of hospitals and other healthcare facilities.

International evidence indicates that accreditation programs significantly strengthen the following areas:

  • Infection control
  • Pain management
  • Increased efficiency of clinical processes

From a legal and professional perspective, the establishment of an accreditation system has also become essential to ensure that the public and policymakers can be confident that healthcare services are carefully evaluated and assured in accordance with scientific and ethical principles.

Drawing on its advanced technological infrastructure, including:

  • Dedicated data collection software: a dedicated software structure consisting of a programming and support team, a platform, and various dashboards for real-time monitoring of project progress and …
  • Development of web-based assessment checklists with relevant accreditation indicators
  • Web-based final reports and management dashboards for use by healthcare facilities and the Ministry of Health and Medical Education
  • Capability to develop artificial intelligence-based software
  • Capability to develop big data-based software
  • Electronic infrastructure for conducting assessments both online and offline
  • Data analysis through advanced algorithms to identify trends and behavioral patterns among patients
  • Online reporting infrastructure
  • Development of advanced dashboards providing the Ministry of Health and Medical Education with access to real-time and statistical reports
  • Capability to provide dynamic analytical reports and comparative reports

and other diverse infrastructure, ISQI carries out the assessment and accreditation process for healthcare facilities. By leveraging modern knowledge and technologies, it pursues a vision of integrating assessment information, continuously monitoring data, minimizing reliance on data obtained through Site Visits, and transforming the concept of assessment and accreditation toward system-based data auditing.

Furthermore, drawing on an experienced and specialized team, ISQI is capable of providing comprehensive services in the design, implementation, deployment, and training of assessment and accreditation systems at various levels, including healthcare, food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, hygiene, and other related sectors.

The extensive presence of the company’s auditors throughout the country enables the rapid implementation of projects at a more cost-effective level compared with other companies active in this field. In addition, cooperation with experienced domestic and international consultants and continuous interaction with healthcare professionals provide a suitable platform for delivering professional assessment and accreditation services to healthcare facilities across the country.
