Regaining Trust in Private Sector Participation in Car Inspection, Quality Assurance, and Sustainable Growth

At the inauguration ceremony of the Euro 6 vehicle emissions laboratory at the Iran Standards and Quality Inspection Company, Dr. Fatemeh Mohajerani, the Government Spokesperson, announced that the private sector can serve as the driving force of the economy in car inspection.

Emphasizing the role of the private sector in the country’s industrial development, Mohajerani stated:
“This ceremony demonstrates the government’s commitment to restoring the private sector to its rightful position. Wherever we have trusted the private sector and limited the governmental role to legislation and infrastructure provision, we have witnessed growth and success.”

Referring to the collaboration between two governmental agencies—the National Standards Organization and the Department of Environment—she added:
“This partnership reflects the government’s belief in the capabilities of the private sector. Alborz Province, as one of the country’s industrial hubs, is a clear example of the dynamism of Iran’s economy and its production and social capacities.”

Taking a systemic view of the economy and society, she emphasized:
“In today’s world, the economy is not isolated; it is intertwined with social, environmental, and even cultural issues. Monitoring quality car inspection and combating pollution are social demands, and without considering these dimensions, solving problems is not possible.”

The Government Spokesperson also addressed fuel and vehicle quality, stating:
“In the context of limited foreign exchange for gasoline imports, producing high-quality fuel and low-consumption vehicles is a national priority. We must move toward products that reduce energy consumption while remaining environmentally compatible.”

In conclusion, Mohajerani appreciated the efforts of both the private sector and government officials, saying:
“The 13th government has taken significant steps to support the private sector and establish the infrastructure for industrial development. Iran has always shown that whenever faced with challenges, it emerges stronger than before. We are like the Phoenix; we rise again to build Iran through solidarity and determination.”
