The elevator parts testing laboratory was inaugurated on Tuesday, November 23, in the presence of Mr. Seyed Mahmoud Hashemi, the head of the National Accreditation Center of Iran, Mohammad Aini, the head of the Alborz Province Standardization Department, the Deputy of the Standards Department in Tehran Province, elevator industry guilds, the Society of Inspection and Auditing in Iran, as well as the Association of Collaborative Test and Calibration Laboratories in Iran. The event took place at the Iran Standard & Quality Inspection Company.

The attitude to quality must be formed in production.
Seyed Mahmoud Hashemi extended congratulations on National Quality Day to the activists in the field of production and services during this ceremony. The head of the National Accreditation Center of Iran, expressing his appreciation for the efforts of the Iran Standard & Quality Inspection Company as a knowledge-based organization, said: What is emerging today in quality is the result of the efforts of the inspection sector in conducting accurate and technical tests.

He, emphasizing that the responsibility for quality lies with the producers, noted: “The higher the quality of the manufactured products, the better the market, increased exports, and, most importantly, customer desire and satisfaction with the goods.”

Hashemi considered quality as a satisfaction and brand-building factor, adding: “Certainly, if technical services are provided with ethics, desirable quality will undoubtedly emerge.” He also announced, “Any organization that focuses on quality, we rely on it with trust and pride.”

The head of the Accreditation Center of Iran said: All inspection domains in the National Accreditation Center of Iran will be accredited, given the existing infrastructure.

Saeed Tajik, the CEO of Iran Standard & Quality Inspection Company, initially presented a report on the activities and plans of the company, stating: “The first elevator parts testing laboratory in four axes existed in this center, and since the year 2021, considering the new standards developed for elevator components, the establishment of a suitable laboratory for conducting relevant tests has been prioritized.”

Continuing, Tajik discussed the periodic inspection of elevators, stating: “It is necessary to define and seriously follow up on supervisory solutions in the standards and regulations in this field. This is because elevator incidents are often the result of a lack of periodic inspection, mainly observed in elevators that have been in use for several years without proper supervision and periodic inspection.”

The CEO of ISQI, referring to the issue of companies active in the elevator repair and maintenance sector, continued: “The opening of this laboratory can ensure the safety of elevators in the country , which as one of the areas of interest can be referred to the organization and standardization of these companies.”

In conclusion, Mohammad Zohre Vand, the head of the Elevator Syndicate, emphasized the significance of internalizing elevator components, stating: “A significant portion of the country’s elevators is produced domestically, and we, along with the National Standard Organization and the Iran Standard & Quality Inspection Company, collaborate in conducting tests and enhancing the safety of elevators.”
