Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) is an independent and specialized inspection service conducted in the country of origin before the goods are shipped. It is provided to verify the conformity of the quality, quantity, packaging, marking, loading, and technical specifications of the goods with the purchase order, contractual requirements, standards, and technical regulations.
At the customer’s request, this inspection can be carried out at different stages, including pre-production, at the beginning of production, during production, and through final random inspection.
The scope of Pre-Shipment Inspection services includes:
* Quantitative and Qualitative Inspection of Goods
Examination of the quantity, quality, and specifications of the goods and verification of their conformity with the purchase order requirements and agreed technical specifications.
*Verification of Goods Specifications Against the Purchase Order (PO)**
Examination and verification of the specifications, model, quantity, and other requirements of the goods against the purchase order and contractual documents.
*Packaging, Marking, and Labeling Inspection**
Examination of the condition of the packaging, markings, labels, and specifications displayed on the goods and packages in accordance with contractual requirements.
*Sampling and Test Supervision
Sampling in accordance with technical and contractual requirements and supervision of the required tests and examinations.
*Container Inspection and Supervision of Cargo Loading and Unloading
Examination of the condition of the container and supervision of cargo loading, arrangement, securing, and unloading operations in accordance with transportation and contractual requirements.
*Marine Inspection Services (Draft Survey)**
Determination of the quantity of cargo through a Draft Survey and performance of inspections related to marine loading and transportation operations, as requested by the customer.
*Issuance of Inspection Reports and Certificates
Preparation of an official inspection report including the assessment results and conformity and non-conformity findings, and issuance of an inspection certificate in accordance with the scope of services performed.
