Motorcycle Emissions and Fuel Consumption Laboratory
The Motorcycle Emissions and Fuel Consumption Measurement Laboratory is capable of measuring exhaust emissions as well as motorcycle fuel consumption in accordance with the methods specified in EU 168/2013, EU 134/2014, and INSO 6626-2 standards, up to Euro 5 level.
The capabilities and advantages of this laboratory include the following:
- Having specialized and skilled personnel
- Up-to-date equipment, including a motorcycle chassis dynamometer manufactured by MAHA and gas analyzers for CO, HC, NOx, and CO2 manufactured by HORIBA
- Supplying laboratory gases, including calibration and consumable gases, from reputable foreign sources
- ISO 17025 certificate from the National Accreditation Center of Iran (NACI)
- Holding an accredited laboratory certificate from the Department of Environment
Tests Available at the Motorcycle Emissions and Fuel Consumption Measurement Laboratory:
- Type I Test: Measurement of exhaust gas emissions from motorcycles
- Type II Test: Measurement of carbon monoxide emissions at idle speed
- Type III Test: Emission of gases from the crankcase and sump
- Type IV Test: Determination of evaporative emissions from the motorcycle fuel system (SHED)
- Type VII Test: Measurement of fuel consumption and emitted CO2
- Type VIII Test: Evaluation of the motorcycle emissions diagnostic system (OBD)
- Measurement of motorcycle wheel-end power
