Vehicle Fuel Vapor Laboratory
Sealed Housing for Evaporative Emissions Determination (SHED)
The purpose of this test is to measure the amount of hydrocarbons emitted from the fuel system of gasoline vehicles. This is the Type 4 emissions test at the TA stage.
This test is conducted up to the Euro 5 standard level and in accordance with the method specified in ECE R83 for passenger cars and EU 134/2014 and EU 168/2013 for motorcycles.
Advantages of the Fuel System Performance Evaluation Laboratory:
- Having specialized and skilled personnel
- Supplying laboratory gases, including calibration and consumable gases, from reputable foreign sources
- Holding an ISO 17025 certificate from the National Accreditation Center of Iran (NACI)
- Holding an accredited laboratory certificate from the Department of Environment
In this laboratory, fuel vapor measurement and fuel system performance evaluation tests can be conducted at the COP and TA stages.
The fuel system performance evaluation includes the following stages:
- Test for Leakage
- Test for Venting
- Purge Test
