Moscow, Russia – The Central Scientific Research Automobile and Automotive Engines Institute (NAMI) recently showcased how seat belts are tested in vehicle crash simulations, highlighting their critical role in occupant safety.
The demonstration, broadcast on the Доброе утро morning program, presented live tests showing how seat belts behave under impact, including how they interact with airbags and other vehicle safety systems. According to Denis Zagarin, Head of NAMI’s Testing Center, seat belts remain one of the most important components in protecting drivers and passengers during a collision.
NAMI emphasized that modern automotive safety is a combination of multiple systems working together, with seat belts forming the first line of defense. The institute also used the demonstration as an educational effort to raise public awareness of proper seat belt usage and the science behind crash testing procedures.
This initiative underscores NAMI’s ongoing mission to advance automotive safety and inform the public about the technologies that save lives in real-world traffic conditions.
